Mark is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He holds a masters
degree
in taxation (MST) and a bachelors degree in business administration,
both from National University. He is enrolled to practice before the IRS
(EA), and is an Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA).”
Mark’s
duties include portfolio design and implementation, tax preparation,
advising clients on the 8 Wealth Management Issues; our comprehensive
process for managing personal and family wealth, and daily oversight of
company policies, practices and procedures.
Mark is the principal owner of PFS and has 24 years experience in the tax and financial services industry.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Georgia
Tech, Sandy served in the U.S. Army Intelligence. He was then an
engineering manager on a number of missile programs. After receiving an
MBA from the University of Southern California, he transitioned to the
financial industry. He is an EA, CFP, CSA, ATA, PE, and a Fellow of the
National Tax Practice Institute.
Sandy entered semi-retirement in 2007 after managing the firm for
over 30 years. He remains active in income tax, estate tax, and trust
tax preparation, and as an independent trustee.

Barb Vesco became Mark Hyma’s executive assistant in 2005. She is a
native San Diegan with 30 years of experience in the financial services
industry.
Additionally, Barb is a California notary public and holds five certifications from the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Barb’s duties include new account set up and transfers, check
requests, changes to client accounts and various other administrative
services.

Carol joined Professional Financial Services in 2001 as a payroll and
bookkeeping practitioner. She received an associates degree in finance
and accounting, and she is also a tax consultant.
Carol’s primary tasks include maintaining bookkeeping records, filing
timely payroll documents and assisting in trust accounting.
When she is not at the office, Carol can be found cycling and hiking local trails in San Diego County.

Greg Nelson earned his degree in finance from The University of
Northern Colorado. He has 25 years experience helping corporations
manage cash flow and investments.
Greg’s duties include portfolio design and implementation, tax
preparation, account servicing, and advising clients on the 8 Wealth
Management issues; our comprehensive process for managing personal and
family wealth.
Greg joined PFS in November, 2006.

Jacque Lewis joined the firm in August 2006. She has a variety of

Kyle Hyma is a 2007 graduate of San Diego State University with a

Linda Huybers has specialized in taxation since 1997. In 2003 she
became enrolled to practice before Internal Revenue Service by earning
the Enrolled Agent designation. Linda has worked in the accounting
field for 30 years and specializes in bookkeeping for small to medium
sized businesses. She helps clients with their accounting needs,
federal and state tax filings, Trust and Estate tax returns and trust
accounting.

Sondra holds an AA degree from San Diego City College.
Sondra has
weaved a 25 year history with PFS thru it’s various components - the
longest of any of our team members. Her primary duties include meeting
and greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments,
collating tax returns, keeping track of all filing deadlines and due
dates, and varoius other front office tasks.
